How to get an invitation letter

The invitation study letter is an official document, which is prepared by the Ukrainian State Center for International Education. It has all the legal grounds and confirms the prospective student’s right to enter the country in order to obtain a long stay visa (type D) and receive appropriate educational services.

The invitation includes the foreigner’s passport details and the full name of the university. To obtain the invitation to study, an applicant is obliged to pay the cost of preparation services (UAH 1 500) and visa fee (UAH 648).

It takes about 5-7 days to prepare an invitation to study.

The document is valid for 360 days starting from the date of issue.

It is during the validity period of the study invitation that one should apply to the consulate or embassy of Ukraine in their respective country as indicated on the embassy’s website.

To receive a study invitation, a prospective foreign applicant shall submit the following documents to the Department of Preparation for Training and Education of Foreigners [email protected]:

  1. Passport;
  2. Document certifying the level of obtained education with grades (academic marks) or academic background;
  3. Notarized translations of passport document and the document certifying the acquired level of education into Ukrainian language;
  4. Written consent to the processing of personal data.

 

After being enrolled, foreign students are required to register with the authorities, receive temporary registration in the city of Vinnytsia and must strictly comply with the rules of conduct and legal rules governing their stay in Ukraine.
