Admission of applicants living in temporarily occupied territories

Dear applicants! The information below applies only to those whose place of residence is the temporarily occupied territory of certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, the territory of settlements on the line of contact, the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol (not registered as internally displaced persons), or migrated from there after January 1, 2021.

Donbass-Ukraine and Crimea-Ukraine Educational Centers have been established at Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University to enable applicants from the temporarily occupied territories to obtain quality Ukrainian education.

Those persons are entitled for admission through the Centers, who:

– have a Ukrainian document on education (distance or external form of education);

– do not have a Ukrainian document on education;

– passed the external evaluation testing;

– did not pass the external evaluation testing.

The educational center provides:

– advising and assisting in compiling the Applicant’s declaration;

– promoting the annual assessment and state final certification of the Applicant in the Ukrainian language and history of Ukraine, the issuance of state documents on basic or complete general secondary education (responsible – authorized institution of general secondary education);

– organization of applicant’s documents.

The Center is open from June 7 to September 24, 2021.

In this case, you need to:

1. Come to the Education Center with a passport or birth certificate.

2. Fill in the educational declaration and application for admission in person The list of documents includes: a passport copy of a Ukrainian citizen or a birth certificate; a copy of the certificate of residence registration; copy of identification code; a copy of the certificate of an internally displaced person registration; four color photographs measuring 3 × 4 cm; copy of military ID or certificate of registration (for conscripts). When submitting copies of documents, their originals must be presented as well!

3. Pass the State final attestation in Ukrainian language and history. Get a certificate entitling one to enter Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University.

4. Pass the exam in the major subject for admission to the chosen specialty. (The results of the State final attestation in the Ukrainian language and history are credited as the results of entrance exams in relevant subjects. Major subjects are determined by the Rules of Admission).

5. Wait for the publication on the official website of the university of the ranking lists of applicants and the order of enrollment.

Note! Once you have received your high school diploma, make sure to submit it to the University Admission Committe

In this case it is necessary to:

1. Personally submit an application and documents for admission to Vasyl’ Stus DonNU. The list of documents includes: a passport copy of a citizen of Ukraine or a birth certificate; a copy of the certificate of residence registration; copy of identification code; a document on complete general secondary education and an appendix to it; a copy of the certificate of registration of an internally displaced person; four color photographs measuring 3 × 4 cm; copy of military ID or certificate of registration (for conscripts). When submitting document copies, their originals must be presented as well!

2. Pass exams in three subjects required for admission to the chosen specialty.

3. Wait for the publication on the official website of the university of the ranking lists of applicants and the order of enrollment.

In this case, you have the right to choose for yourself: either to enter Vasyl’ Stus DonNU based on the results of the external evaluation testing or take entrance exams at the university.

  1. Personally submit an application and documents for admission to Vasyl’ Stus DonNU. The list of documents includes: passport copy of Ukrainian citizenship or a birth certificate; a copy of the certificate of residence registration; copy of identification code; a document on complete general secondary education and an appendix to it; a copy of the certificate of registration of an internally displaced person; EIT certificate; four color photographs measuring 3 × 4 cm; a copy of the military ID or certificate of affiliation (for conscripts). When submitting copies of documents, their originals must be presented!
  2. Pass three exams to enter the chosen specialty (for those who decided to enter the exams);
  3. Wait for the publication on the official university website of the ranking lists of applicants and the enrollment order.
