   Donetsk National University is an educational, scientific and cultural center of Donbass.
   The University was granted the highest level of accreditation which gives the right to enjoy autonomy.
   The University has 12 faculties, four Institutes, five hostels, one contemporary computer center, 37 computerized class rooms, a large library with 1 million books and seven reading halls.

   There is a large student canteen which can place 750 people simultaneously.
   There are also recreation facilities: a swimming pool, a preventorium and a recreation base on the Azov seashore.
   The University is situated in the centre of the city (24 Universitetskaya st).
   The staff of the University includes 860 teachers and lectures. Among them there are academicians and corresponding members of the Academy, 86 D.Sc, 450 Ph.D. co operates with the Universities of the USA, England, France, Germany, Greece, China and Poland.
   The University is a member of the Euro Asian University Association and of the European University Association including membership in the European Council.
