This is how the history of our faculty began: In the year 1965 in accordance with the decree by the then Ministry of High Education of Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic Donetsk state university was created, on the basis of Donetsk pedagogical institute. The same year saw the opening of the evening department of Romance-Germanic Philology where the teachers of the foreign language chair created in 1965 worked. Students were enrolled for three speciality courses (English, French and German): there were 10 students in each of the three groups... (For more about history see History Pages).
