Extranet network of the University serves DonNU corporate Intranet clients and external Internet clients. The website of the University works under IIS-6 server based on Windows 2003 platform.
Creation of DonNU Extranet network was initiated by the first Vice-rector of DonNU V.V. Khrystianovskyy at the end of 2003. Today the following technologies of design and maintenance of web resources are available: FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions, SSI, ASP, ASP.NET (.NET Framework 2.0), PHP 5, MySQL, FTP (for Intranet clients), and CGI (exe).

• There should not be isolated web pages. All the web resources have to be available after clicking hypertext references at DonNU website. 
• It is important to delete unusable web resources opportunely.
• Individual web resources of teachers and scientists should correspond to the aims and tasks of Donetsk University activity. 
• Debugging of web applications directly at DonNU web server is prohibited. For this purpose, please, use local servers. Authors of those applications, which break server operation, bear administrative responsibility and will be deprived of their hosting rights at our server.
• It is prohibited to provide hosting for outside persons and organisations, which are not included in DonNU structure.
