So who is a student? What is the difference between him and other people? That is what can be found about this in the Great Soviet Encyclopedia: Student (from Lat. Studens - one who works hard) - someone who studies in institutions of higher education or like in some countries high schools.
In Ancient Rome and in the Middle Ages any people were called students, who was occupied with process of knowledge. In XII century with the organization of universities the term "student" began to be used for a designation of people which studied in them (also teachers). After introduction of academic statuses for teachers (the master, the professor etc.) this word began to be used exceptionally to students.
The real student can be proud of his erudition. Such person with dignity can find a way out even if there is a question on which he does not know the answer. A student is sharp, is always ready to defend his point of view, can place priorities. A student has a rest, when all work, and works, when all have a rest.
For you, the student, Portal ELF works, where you can find all necessary information from the literature to schedule of classes and consultations.
Dear student, this section is especially for you. We hope that it will be useful for you.
