       Economics and Law Faculty is a leader in Ukraine for the Study of Business Law. The School of Business Law is developing in collaboration with researches from the Institute of Economics and Legal Studies in the following areas: Economic law and procedure. In these areas worked and still work at the Faculty: Corresponding member of Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Volkov VD, Ph.D., Professor Bobkova, A.G and other academicians.
      The Faculty with the Institute of Economics and Legal Studies NAS research following problems (topics and sub-topics): "The formation and development of municipal law in Ukraine" (according to the program of the Institute of Economics and Legal Studies, Ukrainian Academy of Sciences), "Methodological fundamentals of research of economic and legal problems of management in a large region” and "Legal support of recreational activities of Northern Azov", "Economic and legal support for the development of a large region","Economic and legal support of the restructuring of the economic complex in the coastal zone of the Azov Sea ", "Economic and legal support for the development of industrial and territorial systems", "Economic and legal mechanism of the development of socio-economic territorial systems ", "Economic and legal support for the development of industrial and territorial systems”.
      In The Institute of Economics and Legal Studies together with scientists from the Economics and Law Faculty, Donetsk National University, was created a Specialized Council for the defense of doctoral and PhD theses on the specialty 12.00.04 "Commercial Law; Commercial procedure". Only for the last 3 years, 7 professors of the faculty defended their dissertations on the actual problems of economic law in this Council.
      According to the agreement about cooperation with the Institute of Economics and Legal Studies, NAS of Ukraine, significant number of lecturers of the faculty took active participation in preparation of the Commentary for the Commercial Code of Ukraine. Faculty members write paper reviews, reports, theses etc.
      The results of joint research are published in professional journals such as "Legal Journal of Donetsk University" and "Economy and Law" IEPI NAS of Ukraine, in which the editorial boards comprised of leading academicians of the Institute and the Faculty.
      During the last years, in the Institute mentioned above there is a branch of the Department of Economic Law. By-turn, leading researches of IEPI NAS of Ukraine, in particular the Director of the Institute Academician Mamutov V.K., prof. Znamenskii G.L and other scientists get continually involved in the educational process as teachers of Economics and Law Faculty DonNU.
      Over the last 5 years, as a result of the scientific research, 15 monographs were published by teachers of legal departments, which materials are used in the educational process in relevant subject areas; new courses were developed: Sports Law, Medical Law, Construction Law, Stock Law and others. Results of researches are used for publications of textbooks on Law, Municipal Law of Ukraine, Constitutional Law of Ukraine, Economic Law, Civil Law etc.
